HAPPY BIRTHDAY, DR. JANE!

Where in the world is Dr. Jane?

Celebrating her birthday!

Today is a special day! It’s Jane Goodall’s birthday.

As Jane turns 78 years young, she is spending her birthday in one of her favorite places on Earth…other than Gombe National Park that is! She’s watching the annual migration of the sandhill cranes in Nebraska’s Plate River Valley. Of course, Jane is never one to take a day off like the rest of us and so she is also busily finalizing her latest book while in the middle of her spring 2012 North American speaking tour.

Like you, we at the Jane Goodall Institute (JGI) are inspired by our founder each and every day. As Jane says: “Every individual matters. Every individual has a role to play. Every individual makes a difference.” We live and breath that motto every day at JGI.

How has Jane inspired you? We would love to hear how Jane has impacted your life and of course, have you wish her a happy birthday too. We’ll be sure to share your messages with her!
